Mountain Lake
Title:  Mountain Lake
Description:  Today, i'm strictly a prototype man, but in my past, I was an avid model railroader. My last model railroad, the Dothan Southern (N Scale), was a fictitious bridge route that interchanged with CSX and Norfolk Southern. It was a mountainous route, with lots of tunnels, bridges, and mining towns. Here, a loaded coal train is shown crossing the double-tracked bridge over Mountain Lake. The U30C is an Atlas locomotive, the SD40 is from Kato, and both paint and decal jobs were my own handiwork. The plate girder bridges were from Evergreen, the Trusses from Kato, and the piers were handmade and painted, also by me. This MRR was dismantled in 1995, and this blurry picture is the only surviving photo of the model.
