Green and Cream Scheme |
Description: |
And in this photo, Burlington Northern Santa Fe demonstrates two of the ugliest paint schemes in modern railroading. Just what waterhead at BNSF chose this crap over the world famous silver, red, and yellow warbonnet? |

Pusher Duty |
Description: |
The area south of Dalton is realatively flat (the zoom exagerates the hills a bit), but this pusher sounded like it was reving up to full throttle as it passed by on the end of the PWC special. |

Summertime Shimmers |
Description: |
This photo is not quite as dangerous as it seems at first glance. Normally, I avoid being on the railroad tracks like the plague, especially when a moving train is nearby. But this was actually the pusher end of a freight that was moving away. I had to walk through the grade-crossing to get back to my car anyway, so I decided to get the quick shot. This photo also illustrates why long range photography in Georgia in the middle of summers is a crap-shoot. Time: 13:10 |
